Starting at noon today, districts with no new COVID-19 community transmission cases since September 6 are allowed to reopen various businesses and restaurants.
Dan Tri reported that the Hanoi Department of Health announced yesterday the list of districts that meet the requirements to reopen: Ba Dinh, Ba Vi, Bac Tu Liem, Cau Giay, Dan Phuong, Gia Lam, Hoai Duc, Long Bien, Me Linh, My Duc, Nam Tu Liem, Phu Xuyen, Phuc Tho, Quoc Oai, Soc Son, Son Tay, Tay Ho, Thanh Oai and Ung Hoa.
In these districts, businesses that are allowed to run again are: office and school supplies stores, shops that repair vehicles and electronic devices; food and beverages services are allowed as well but only for takeaways and they must be closed before 9pm.
All businesses must follow pandemic preventing requirements such as the 5K practice. And all customers must present QR codes when shopping.
Talking to Zing, Standing Vice Chairman of Hanoi’s People Committee Lê Hồng Sơn said that the city will no longer check for travel papers in these 19 districts.
The decision to reopen came at a time when the current COVID-19 wave is showing signs of decline. The highest daily case record was 133 cases on August 29, then slowly falling to only 14 cases yesterday, all in quarantine areas.
