While Vietnamese cinema is just starting to ramp up its production of horror flicks, South Korean filmmakers have long been fans of the genre, creating some truly spine-tingling movies.
The latest effort from director Yeon Sang-ho is no different. In fact, according to Metro, Sang-ho’s zombie flick Train to Busan may be even better than hit TV series The Walking Dead thanks to the director’s interpretation of zombies as swift, vicious, brain-eating machines.
The story follows a businessman who takes his daughter on a trip to Busan to see her mother just as the zombie apocalypse is getting under way. Train to Busan was an official selection at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and is set to come to Vietnam’s CGV cinemas next week.
