Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO) will be presenting 3 remarkable programs in July.

The most prominent is probably the return of the famous Suite Ballet Carmen. Premiered in the 60s of the last century, the suite ballet Carmen choreographed by the famous Alberto Alonso continues to fascinate and impress ballet lovers by conveying the special personality of Carmen in the contemporary social context. The music is undeniably famous, however, is re-arranged in the strings and percussion instruments by Shchedrin, which brings a new sense for Carmen. This time, Nguyen Thu Trang is still in the role of Carmen, besides the excellent artists Ho Phi Diep, Tran Hoang Yen, Dam Duc Nhuan ... This performance is one of the most awaited by audiences during the annual HBSO season.

Also on the same night, there are also two other ballet works, which were recently released. DÉPAYSEMENT leaves strong impression for the beauty of modern ballet by the excellent French choreographer Julien Guérin. The audience has not forgotten the beautiful poses of Tran Hoang Yen and Chloe Glemot, this time to be replaced by Yuki Hiroshige. The romance of the piece adds to the critical thinking together make the work a little surreal.

FALLING ANGELS by choreographer Nguyen Phuc Hung is also his latest work, with the participation of two talented young ballet artists Do Hoang Khang Ninh and Sung A Lung, the two represent the pure beauty of youth, fragile and passion which is the strongest impression for the audience.

Suite Ballet Carmen will be performed at 8pm on July 20 and 21, 2019 at the Opera House.
