"Ticket to Childhood" (Cho tôi xin một vé đi tuổi thơ) is being brought to life at The Joi Factory on 5th August, 2025 at 7:30PM (Tuesday), in Vietnamese with English subtitles.

Adapted from Nguyễn Nhật Ánh's beloved novella, this stage reading explores the whimsical mischief and candid observations of a group of children. Their antics—at times silly, at times sharp—offer poignant reflections on adult life.

As the Los Angeles Review of Books notes: “This is not a book strictly for children, either. Nguyen’s children are court jesters, able to question the norms of the adult world in ways that adults cannot.”

Having sold over 500,000 copies and garnered accolades from the Vietnamese Writers Association and the Vietnamese Publishing Association, Nguyễn Nhật Ánh's story is ultimately a mirror for adults who, as he says, “once were children.”
