As 2019 draws to a close, music streaming platform Spotify has released its year-end statistics.

According to the rankings, organized in several Spotify playlists, rapper Den tops the list of most-streamed Vietnamese artists, followed by My Tam, Vu., Son Tung M-TP and Hoang Thuy Linh. The rest of the top 10 positions belong to Ngot, Tien Tien, Min, Noo Phuoc Thinh and Bich Phuong.

Besides older artists such as Le Quyen, My Tam, Bang Kieu and Lam Truong, popular faces from the younger generations of Vietnamese pop such as Truc Nhan, Vu Cat Tuong, ERIK and Duc Phuc also made the list. The most noteworthy highlight is the number of indie artists who racked up streams compared to their more popular ballad-heavy counterparts. These artists include Ca Hoi Hoang, DA Lab, Trang, Chillies and Mademoiselle.

Spotify also released the list of artists who were most-streamed among Vietnamese listeners, in which Den comes third after the Kpop group BTS and Taylor Swift. The rapper was also the most-listened-to male artists list in Vietnam, followed by Shawn Mendes, Ed Sheeran, Alan Walker and Vu..

For female artists, the top five most popular among Vietnamese listeners include Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, My Tam and Camila Cabelo. BTS, BLACKPINK, Maroon 5, Ngot and Imagine Dragons are the five most-listened-to groups in Vietnam.

Spotify also revealed that the most popular Vietnamese song on their platform is 'Hay Trao Cho Anh,' written and performed by Son Tung M-TP in collaboration with American rapper Snoop Dogg, followed by 'Bai Nay Chill Phet' by Den and Min. At the third position is 'Muon Ruou To Tinh,' a song composed by Tien Cookie and Big Daddy, performed by Big Daddy and Emily.
