You’re probably familiar with Zone 9, a group of former factory buildings that were converted into shops, bars and art spaces early last year. But just as the complex was hitting its stride, all of its 60 business were abruptly evicted.
Zone 9 was something special, a beacon of organic creativity where characters from around the world were able share their ideas and showcase their talents.
To keep the memory of the space alive, Thu Nguyen, Gabe Hernandez and Chuyen Bui have launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund a documentary film about the cultural hub:
“In eight months of brief wondrous existence, how had Zone 9 created a vibrant community for artists and cultural entrepreneurs? Why did the authorities shut it down in such haste? Above all, this documentary aims to share the creativity from Zone 9 by showcasing the talent it fostered.”
Head over to Kickstarter to learn more about how you can help fund this great the project.
