Vietnamese photographer, Ly Hoang Long, was selected as the top photographer from the Asia-Pacific region at the recent CBRE Urban Photographer of the Year competition.
The competition, with the theme “Cities at Work,” attracted 11,500 entries from 79 countries and entries were judged by professional photographers, travel editors, advertising executives, among others.
His beautiful photo entitled “Net Mending” (Dan Luoi) shows a group of female workers mending blue fishing nets in Bac Lieu Province.
This is not the first international award for Long whose photo “Golden Net,” which depicts fisherman in the early morning light, won him top prize at a National Geographic photo competition earlier this year, according to DTI News.
