Vietnam is home to a host of talented, up-and-coming artists. Whether through paint or sculpture, performance or film, young creatives are pushing boundaries in the art world not only by using new subjects but also new mediums.

Tran Hoang Duc, a young graphic design student at Ton Duc Thang University, is taking the internet by storm with his collection of paintings made from daily objects like coffee, cigarettes and even chilli sauce. Through these peculiar “paints”, Duc adds a refreshing new space to the field of art.
