[Video] Local Videographer Shows Why Sapa Is Awesome in Under 5 Minutes

Any good traveler will tell you that the best way to explore a place is by getting to know the locals.

This is exactly what the folks at Zoomations did on their latest trip to Sapa. As part of their ongoing 'Vietnam Is Awesome' project – a video series that's already explained why Da Nang is awesome – Zoomations took on the rugged, mountainous terrain of Sapa, home to several ethnic minorities, many of whom are cut off from the rest of the country.

Over the course of the video, we get to know Hoa, a 12-year-old girl who wishes to become a tour guide. As Zoomations' drone glides above Sapa's otherworldly terraced rice paddies and sweeping mountain vistas, Hoa tells us about her life and what she likes about her home. The stunning landscape scenes are intermixed with glimpses of local life, from children playing to women harvesting rice.
