Singapore is often lauded for being an organized, well-planned metropolis. This is even more apparent when you take in the Lion City from above as a bird's eye view of Singapore reveals the fractal-like patterns within its urban planning.
These images were taken by photographer Chia Joel by way of a DJI Phantom 3. Joel explained his shooting process to Petapixel: “My aerial adventures consist of a number of important and well thought-out processes.” This includes scouting each individual location, keeping track of weather conditions and identifying takeoff and landing spots.
This preparation paid off and sometime resulted in unexpected surprises. “Most of the time, after a day of flying,” he told Petapixel, “I end up so fascinated by how somewhere so ordinary or perhaps so common or random, can turn out to be a piece of art!”
