As the Lunar New Year approaches, festivities abound in two of Vietnam’s most alluring destinations, Hoi An and Quy Nhon. Special Tet holiday events are taking place at both Anantara Hoi An Resort and Anantara Quy Nhon Villas to welcome the year of the ox.

Experience the lantern-filled charm of Hoi An as the streets come alive at this time of year. Just a few minutes’ walk from the Old Town, Anantara Hoi An is the place to celebrate with friends and family and a host of distinctive culinary events, including a traditional dinner on the first day of Tet at the quintessential Vietnamese riverside restaurant. Characteristic indigenous treats, both savoury and sweet, bring out the essence of this auspicious holiday. Prices are just VND 350,000 per adult and children between the ages of 6 and 11 are half price.
Sunday brunch on 14 February will showcase a combination of Vietnamese and international cuisine, plus plenty of fun and activities to keep the kids entertained. Free-flowing drinks for the occasion are part of the Sunday fun with prices at VND 999,000 per adult and children aged 6 to 11 at half price.
Running throughout the holiday season between 10 and 16 February is a decadent afternoon tea at art space with children’s activities including cookie decorating and calligraphy. A fun-filled afternoon costs VND 250,000 per person.

Further down the Vietnamese coast, Anantara Quy Nhon Villas is also preparing to celebrate Tet in style. Embark on a culinary journey over the holiday season starting with a garden BBQ at Sea.Fire.Salt. on Saturday 13 February, offering a variety of grills and thrills with a stunning view over the Bay of Quy Nhon. Places cost VND 1,490,000++ per adult including delectable lobster and free-flowing soft drinks. Children aged 6 to 11 cost VND 645,000++.

The culinary experience continues with an exclusive brunch on Monday 15 February, designed by the resort’s Executive Chef and presenting his signature twists on some traditional and modern dishes. Brunch prices are VND 1,490,000++ per couple including free-flowing house wine and soft drinks. Children’s places cost VND 445,000++.

Kids will have a barrel of fun during Tet with a selection of activities taking place every day between 10 and 16 February. Younger guests will be able to channel their inner creativity and design their own ‘Nón Lá‘ conical hat, or make a kite and try their hand at flying it over the beach. Budding MasterChefs can get messy in the kitchen and learn to make pizzas, cupcakes and traditional Vietnamese summer rolls.

There’s something for everyone at Anantara Hoi An and Anantara Quy Nhon Villas this Tet holiday – the perfect locations to celebrate the start of a new year.
