Anyone who has attended an event at GEM Center knows how spectacular their sensory installations can be. Saigoneer has been wowed by pulsing jellyfish chandeliers, digital butterflies flickering around a technicolor oak tree, and an enormous deer prancing across a shimmering, enchanted forest background while dancers lept and swirled with stars in their hands while an orchestra performed at a past event. Last year’s annual Christmas decorations were similarly stunning. Inspired by a claw machine game with a giant 10-meter-tall teddy bear Christmas tree in the lobby, it attracted throngs of netizens and revealers. This year, GEM Center has outdone itself for its festive season experience as highlighted by the Christmas Snow Town.

The festive season began at one of Saigon’s leading event centers on November 14 with a lighting ceremony to unveil Christmas Snow Town alongside holiday activities that will run from now until December 31, 2024. Spanning over 600 meters on the GEM Center rooftop, Christmas Snow Town captures the specific charm of Europe in winter. Wooden cottages glow under twinkling lights, snow-dusted pine trees sparkle, and cozy streets embrace the warm atmosphere. The event began with timeless Holiday songs including 'Hallelujah' and 'Joy To The World' that provided the perfect background for guests to light the tree, ring the Christmas bell, and watch the first snowfall before enjoying a lavish meal inspired by the occasion.

The opening event attracted many fashionable guests who wanted to be the first to see it and couples, families and young people across the city will continue to visit in the coming weeks to take photos and savor the wintery vibes that are so difficult to find outside of Europe. In addition to fantastic scenery, visitors will be able to enjoy a wide array of holiday-themed culinary delights, including roasted turkey, beef stew, yule logs, candy canes, gingerbread cookies, toasted marshmallows, and chocolate fondue towers. A generous selection of premium beverages underscores the sanctity of the event.

Christmas Snow Town is more than great food and photo opportunities, though. A variety of events are scheduled for the full 47 days including a "Dear Santa" magic mailbox and surprise gifts along with festive decorations for sale. The real highlight of any visit will surely be the Snow Show. Four times a day, snow will drift down along with vibrant holiday music that will allow guests to feel as if they are living in a Hallmark Christmas movie.

Those familiar with the GEM Center will not be surprised by the scale and splendor of the annual Christmas celebration. Established in 2014, it has long since cemented itself as a hub of creative inspiration. Its world-class facilities and daring team have made it a great choice for leading company events and renowned art performances. Recognition has followed, notably this year it beat out famous names such as Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, Tokyo International Forum, Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, and Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC) to win the "Asia’ Best Convention Centre 2024" award, as voted by the World MICE Awards. This achievement can be seen as a victory for the whole nation as GEM Center is helping elevate the nation's position within global conference and event sectors.

The award-winning attention to detail, dedicated staff, terrific food and commitment to emotional experiences will be on display from now until the end of the year at Christmas Snow Town. If you’ve ever watched wholesome Christmas movies and fantasized about being in a scene yourself, it’s the perfect opportunity.

Christmas Snow Town is open from November 15 to December 31, 2024, on the rooftop of GEM Center, with four special timeslots each and canape buffet from 18:30 - 22:00. Register for Christmas Snow Town here
