On Wednesday night, 50 passengers flying out of Cam Ranh International Airport bound for HCMC were mistakenly put on a flight to Hanoi. Fortunately, the mistake was discovered by ground services at the last minute.
According to Tuoi Tre, it’s unclear how mishap occurred but “[The VietJet] staffers involved in the mistake have been suspended for writing separate reports on their relevant responsibility.”
It’s been a tough year for the Vietnamese aviation industry with flight attendants being arrested for goods smuggling, passengers opening emergency doors and frequent in-flight robberies.
