The new sky bridge/elevated traffic circle is currently under construction at the intersection at Điện Biên Phủ and National Highway 1 and authorities hope it will speed up the flow of traffic between Huế and central Đà Nẵng.

The project is highlighted by a 60 meter, cable-stayed arched tower that will stand above numerous traffic lanes and train tracks belonging to the intercity railway.

According to Zing, construction is 85% complete and the grand traffic circle should be completed in time for the 40th anniversary of the city’s liberation (29 March 2015).
