[Photos/Video] How Vietnam Rang in 2016

Vietnam’s cities kicked-off 2016 in typical fashion, with huge crowds turning out for fireworks displays from Thu Thiem to Hoan Kiem Lake.

Da Nang, quickly becoming one of Asia’s fireworks hubs, for the first time launched rockets from its beach and put on what may have been the most impressive show of the night in Vietnam (photos via VNExpress):

Down south, the streets and Bridges along the Saigon River were packed to the gills with onlookers (as expected), some of whom left piles of garbage in their wake:

In Hanoi, however, the large concert and fireworks at Hoan Kiem Lake were overshadowed by upended barriers, trampled flowerbeds and quarrels:
