Indonesia's most popular beach destination just got one stop closer for Saigon residents.

Tickets for a four-hour flight from Saigon to Bali are now on sale on the VietJet website and are scheduled to begin May 29, according to the Jarkarta Post. The route is the first time Vietnam has been directly linked with the Denpasar vacation hotspot.

The budget airlines will operate flights on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, departing from Saigon at 8:05am and arriving in Bali at 1:05pm. The return flight will leave Bali at 2:05pm. and touchdown in Saigon at 5:05pm. (all in local times).

When first announced in January, VietJet Managing Director Do Xuan Quang said that the flights would begin in March and eventually expand from four days a week to seven. He added that a non-stop route to Jakarta would begin by the end of the year.

As Vietnam continues to add new international routes, the move can be interpreted as another sign of Vietnamese increasing interest and ability to travel internationally and the nation's commitment to welcoming foreign visitors. "The route will contribute to promoting tourism and economic integration in the region as well as introduce the image of Vietnam to the world," Nguyen Thanh Son, vice president of VietJet said.
