Vietjet Air Launches Direct Flight Route From Saigon to Osaka

The budget carrier also launched a Hanoi-Osaka route back in November of this year.

According to an announcement on its website, Vietjet has launched a Ho Chi Minh to Osaka direct route starting December 14. The flight time of each leg will be more than five hours.

The flight operates on a daily basis - departing from Ho Chi Minh at 1.30am and arriving at Osaka at 8.30am. The flight from Osaka departs at 9.30am and lands in Saigon at 1.30pm.

"We are honored that Kansai Airport has been chosen as Vietjet’s leading destination in Japan after the opening of this Hanoi-Osaka route. Ho Chi Minh City is Vietnam’s largest city as well as the most modern and vibrant financial and tourism hub," said Gregory Jamet, Chief Commercial Officer at Kansai Airports.

The budget carrier also announced that it will launch a new direct route between Hanoi and Tokyo (Narita) on January 11, 2019.
