After spending 36 hours in Saigon back in May, The New York Times recently visited Hanoi and picked out a number of attractions that one should check out if short on time in the capital.
"Hanoi is changing fast, but with its tree-lined lanes, graceful old architecture, a flourishing arts scene and sophisticated night life, the city is having its moment," wrote the paper.
Their list of top spots is comprised of: Ca Phe Pho Co., State-Run Food Shop No. 37, CAMA ATK, Madake, Hanoi Cooking Center, Chau Long Market, Thang Long Cultural Park, Manzi, Art Vietnam, Pots ‘n Pans, Tadioto, Hanoi Social Club, Hanoi Bicycle Collective, Phu Tay Ho and nearby street food, Thien Nien Tu temple, Café Xua Ven Ho and Clom’s Closet.
With their Saigon article, the main criticism was the lack of local flavor in the itinerary.
Do you think they did a better job with their Hanoi recommendations?
