NY Times: Here’s What You Should Do with 36 Hours in HCMC

The New York Times recently visited HCMC for one of their popular “36 Hours” columns where they present a list of recommendations for things to do and places to go if you're short on time.

Their list is comprised of: Reunification Palace, Eon Heli Bar, Cuc Gach Quan, La Fenêtre Soleil, Vietnam Vespa Adventures, Quan Hoa Dong, Che My, the Ginkgo Concept Store, Mai Lam, Galerie Quynh, San Art, Craig Thomas Gallery, Pizza 4P’s, Blanchy Street, Lam Son bar, Xu and L’Usine.

While they cover some of the city’s best shops, restaurants and cultural hotspots, for us, it's missing some local character (no street drinking/eating on plastic stools? Barely anything outside of District 1) though it is clearly targeting those who have a bit of Đồng to spare.

We’re curious what you think about this list. Would this itinerary give a visitor a well-rounded view of HCMC?
