The agreement, signed last Friday, “will see the carrier supply its products and services through the fast food chain’s online channel, and vice versa,” reports Tuoi Tre.

Though the full details of the agreement haven’t been released, what is clear is that products from Lotteria’s Vietnam stores will be available on the budget airline’s in-flight menu on both domestic and international flights.

“We are delighted to diversify our in-flight menu with Lotteria Vietnam’s products that will offer our valued passengers even more variety for delicious in-flight meals,” said Luu Duc Khanh, managing director of VietJet.

The airline has also given one of its planes a custom livery that includes Lotteria’s logo. VietJet has provided a similar branding exercise for companies such as Pepsi and Vietcombank in the past.

A statement from Lotteria added that the company will “introduce VietJet’s services through all of its global touch-points,” though it’s unclear exactly what that entails.

The fast food chain has been active in Vietnam since 1998 where it currently has over 190 restaurants in 30 cities and provinces. It also operates locations in Japan, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Indonesia and Myanmar.
