It’s hard to imagine what life was like in a motorbike-free Hanoi.
Therefore, this set of old photos, taken by famed Hungarian photographer Rév Miklós, is a rare treat. During his trip to the capital in 1959, Miklós brought along his trusty camera to document the Hanoi way of life in the late 1950s.
A mixture of color and black-and-white photos, his works give us a glimpse of the city’s architecture, social activities and downtime.
