While most of the old photos we show here are from Saigon and Hanoi, we wanted to give a shout-out to the Hue, Vietnam’s capital until 1945.

The former imperial capital is home not only to the country’s most famous citadel, but also to the tombs of emperors and UNESCO world heritage sites, many of which haven’t changed much over the centuries (save for the aforementioned citadel which was badly damaged during the Battle of Huế in 1968).
