Back Arts & Culture » Podcast » Saigoneer Podcast: Street Food Roundup, #MeToo in Vietnam and Dr. Phuong Mai Nguyen

We're back from the holiday break with a new episode!

We begin with a roundup of some of our favorite recent street food escapades; highlights include bánh mì há cảo, bánh mì hến and bánh mì hấp — these can be found at 358 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street, District 3; 366 Nguyen Tri Phuong Street, District 10; and, 195 Co Giang Street, District 1, respectively.

We also gave a shout-out to Quan Oc Sau No at 128 Vinh Khanh Street, District 4, and revisited two recent Hẻm Gems. This conversation left us salivating!

Then we take a look at Vietnam's nascent #MeToo movement, which we wrote about two weeks ago. We'll discuss the latest developments and give our thoughts on this issue.

Our interview segment features Dr. Phuong Mai Nguyen, a prolific writer and researcher from Hanoi who is now an associate professor of intercultural management at the Amsterdam School of International Business. Dr. Mai discussed her background, her current research on neuroscience and what we can expect from her in the future.

As always, we close with Banh Mi Banter.
