From wheezing, old-school Honda Cubs to fancy vintage Vespas to the brand-new, high-octane two-wheelers that have begun to appear on Saigon's streets, Vietnam is a country of two-wheeled vehicles.
As it turns out so, too, is Japan. In the 13-minute short Tokyo Gone, Aki is a Japanese motorcycle fan trapped in a monotonous nine-to-five. When her bike breaks down just before a big race, Aki acquires and trades away a string of borrowed motorcycles which she uses to make her way out of the city.
The resulting film is a cinematic homage to Japanese motorbike culture which takes you through the country's capital on beautiful vintage motorcycles. Have a look below:
