Getting a haircut is an exercise of trust as it may be the only situation where one willingly allows a stranger to wield sharp blades around their head. But if you sit in the chair of this Da Nang barber, you’ll have to take this trust to the next level.

Nguyễn Hoàng Hưng has put away traditional hair sculpting tools, instead opting for a pair of samurai swords which, he explains, allow him to achieve a light, feathered finish, one that scissors cannot offer, reports NgoiSao.

Hưng trained for four years before trying his technique on customers and has become something of an artist with his shining blades.

His customers might look a little anxious but seem satisfied with the results.

Somewhere in Kyoto, a samurai is turning it their grave.
