No one loves an office job. Sure, there are perks – the air-conditioning, the peaceful environment, the free corporate stuff – but at one point or another, every pencil-pusher has wished for a more active occupation.
So, too, have the ladies at Hanoi's Xanh Kim Lien Market. Over the past few months, produce and meat vendors in the small urban trading center have begun incorporating a workout routine into their daily tasks, sweating it out to an aerobic routine twice a day in order to stay fit, reports Reuters.
The women took up aerobics as a means of both changing their sedentary lifestyles and saving on gym fees. As a collective, the group holds two workout sessions per day: one from 11am to noon, in which vendors exercise by following YouTube workout videos on their phones, and one from 2pm to 3pm, when the women move in time to the music's heavy bass and occasional instructions, according to another video posted on Zing's Facebook page.
Take a look at the clip below and you'll see women sharpening knives to the music playing over thumping loudspeakers. While it's unorthodox, the market women swear by their new routine.
“We bought a speaker and got everyone together to exercise for better health and to take our minds off financial matters,” 58-year-old vegetable vendor Nguyen Thi Nga told Zing.
Cả chợ cùng nhau nhảy, thậm chí các cô bán thịt còn vừa nhảy vừa...mài dao. Hình ảnh độc đáo này diễn ra ở chợ Xanh Kim Liên (Hà Nội).
