“Pho” added to Merriam-Webster Dictionary

Well, it’s about time. Our beloved “pho” has finally gotten the recognition it deserves, recently being added along with 150 other terms to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, according to CBS News.

Pho’s addition to one of the US’s most respected English-language dictionaries represents the increasing popularity of the dish across the globe (even to the point where some have tried to copyright the word).

It also has the honor of being inducted alongside “selfie” and "spoiler alert."
