Ever wish you could float like an astronaut in space? Soon you may be able to do so without having to leave Asia.
The scheme is the brainchild of Richard Joye, Swiss Space Systems Asia Vice President who plans to launch the service in Korea, Macau, the Philippines, Malaysia and Thailand in the next few months.
Each flight lasts around 90 minutes and costs about $2,700 for the normal service of 15 periods of weightlessness, called a parabola. $7,000 will bump you up to VIP status which includes a private room and limited edition Breitling watch. If you’re wondering why 15 parabolas is the magic number, according to Joye, at around 20 – 25, one runs the risk of unleashing a vomit comet (yup, it’s exactly what it sounds like).
