Last Sunday, Saigon’s Nguyen Hue Boulevard was filled with members of the LGBT community and supporters to celebrate this year’s VietPride.

Zing reports that this year’s Pride celebration attracted some 2,000 attendees, including US Ambassador to Vietnam,Ted Osius, and his husband.

19-year-old Jin from a local university told Zing that he was glad that VietPride is a thing in Saigon.

“I’ve been here for around an hour, but I don’t feel tired because I am among people who can be true to themselves,” he said.

Last year’s Pride was held in August. This is the 6th year that VietPride has been held in the country.
