In the 1970s, urban Vietnam was a Lambretta paradise.
In this decades-old photo collection, photographer Mike Huddleston offers a look inside 1970s Vietnam. Instead of the usual chaotic, lively streets of Saigon, Huddleston’s snapshots shine a light on suburban Vietnam, where spartan fields and dried grass were common features.
In a few shots taken in more populous neighborhoods, Saigon’s scores of white Lambrettas are the star of the show, while Honda Cubs occasionally linger in the background.
