Justin Trudeau, the Canadian Prime Minister, will visit both Vietnam and the Philippines from November 6-14.
A press release from the Prime Minister's office shares that Trudeau will make stops in Hanoi, Saigon, and Da Nang.
According to the statement: "In Hanoi, he will meet with the President of Vietnam, Tran Dai Quang, the Prime Minister, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, the President of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, as well as the Secretary General of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Nguyen Phu Trong."
Trudeau will then travel to Saigon to meet with local business leaders and take part in a discussion at Ton Duc Thang University in District 7. Afterwards, he will attend the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting in Da Nang.
The press release adds: "The Prime Minister will promote Canada as a partner of choice for trade and investment in the region, and deepen economic cooperation with APEC economies.
APEC features 21 member countries around the Pacific Rim, including China, Japan, and the United States, the three largest economies in the world.
Following the APEC summit, which US President Donald Trump is also attending, Trudeau will travel to the Philippines for the 31st Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit in Manila.
