Since Monday, dozens of workers have been removing tons of dead fish that from Hanoi’s Thien Quang Lake, reports Vietnam Net.
Locals say that the fish died after the lake was dredged with fishing nets, not only choking the lake with their remains, but also leaving a horrible stench in the air.
The lake, named after a village that was once situated on its banks, was once significantly larger but portions were filled in during the colonial period to make room for new streets.
