At a meeting with a Vietnamese delegation in Rome last week, an official from Italy’s Polizia Stradale offered his organization’s assistance in providing Vietnam’s traffic police with training to improve their professional skills.
The proposal was made at a meeting between the National Traffic Police Bureau of Italy and Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security and would involve training Vietnamese police in managing and patrolling routes, coordinating with other agencies in instances of traffic accidents and in the application of advanced road monitoring technologies, reports Vietnamplus.
No word on whether the Polizia Stradale would part with any of their Lamborghini Gallardos.
Perhaps with the proper training Vietnamese traffic police will be able to conduct themselves in a manner akin to their Italian counterparts who seem to have things figured out:
