Man Fined VND3 Million After Letting His 6-Year-Old Son Drive Truck

Police in Quang Ninh province have fined the parents of a six-year-old boy VND3 million for permitting their son to drive a truck.

According to VN Express, a clip of the underage driver surfaced on social media on September 3. In the three-minute video, the son of local resident Dang Van Quy sits on an adult's lap, driving the truck along the streets of Mong Cai, where he lives, while someone films over his shoulder.

The day after the clip was posted, authorities summoned Quy to the police station and notified him of the fine. Police have also impounded the vehicle for seven days.
