We’ve known for a few weeks that we will enjoy an extra-long Tet break in 2016. Now, we have a clearer picture of what other public holidays we can look forward to next year thanks to an updated calendar from the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.
According to information provided by the Ministry, our first days off in 2016 will be January 1 – 3 so workers can recuperate from New Year’s festivities.
As reported earlier, we have a long Tet coming our way with 9 days off from February 6 – 14.
The slew of holidays continues in April for the Hung Kings' death anniversary (April 16 – 18) and the Reunification Day/Labor Day combo weekend (April 30 – May 3).
As usual, the only national holiday in the second half of the year is National Day, offering a two-day reprieve (September 2-4).
