In the urban bubble that is Saigon, we sometimes forget that the city isn’t located far from the sea.
Hydrofoils from Bach Dang Pier (which will be put back into service later this month) can get you to Vung Tau in just over an hour, provided that they don’t go up in flames.
This video by Rusty Compass takes viewers on a journey from the city, through its fringes and into the green open space that leads to the vast waters of the East Sea.
Per the video description:
“The journey along the Saigon River to the sea is an incredible spectacle of heavy ships, container ports, traditional smaller boats and finally, rural scenes - with the city fading in the background. Check out this video after some recent time spent working aboard a cruise ship.”
