The route’s operator, Hai Au Aviation Company, debuted their service with two charter flights this past weekend, with the first carrying 14 Russian tourists from HCMC’s Tan Son Nhat Airport to Bau Trang Resort, reports Thanh Nien.
Luong Hoai Nam, managing director of the Nha Trang-based company, said that tickets for the service would be made available to the public at large on January 10 at $250/person for international tourists and $175/person for Vietnamese nationals.
Nam added that there are plans in the works for seaplane tours from HCMC to Nha Trang and Can Tho City later this month.
The Cessna Caravan aircrafts used on Hai Au’s routes have a cruising speed of 317km/hour and can take off or land on both runways and water.
The 158km HCMC – Phan Thiet flight, which will fly between 500 and 3,000 meters in the air, should take about 30 minutes.
