According to a recent survey, Jetstar Pacific is Vietnam’s tardiest airline with 30.6% of their flights delayed.

Vietnam’s other airlines fared much better with Vietjet’s fleet registering a delay rate of 18.9%, while Vietnam Airlines rounded out the podium with 12.4% of their flights running behind schedule, reports Tuoi Tre.
Statistical outlier, Vasco airlines, on the other hand, had a delay rate of 2.6%. With flights only running from Ho Chi Minh to Con Dao, Can Tho and Ca Mau, the vastly lesser number of flights could explain their timeliness.
Most delays were attributed to “late arrival of aircraft” meaning a flight ran late affecting subsequent departure times for the remainder of the day. Bad weather and technical issues were, reportedly, the chief reasons for the canceled flights
While still extremely annoying, it looks like these delay rates are an improvement over last year. The figures state that 19.4% of all flights were delayed in Vietnam in 2014, while 25% ran behind schedule in 2013.
On a positive note, at least Noi Bai has wifi and sleeping pods now so you can grit your teeth while surfing the web in a plastic box.
