Vietnam will soon ask its Singaporean counterparts for an explanation as to why a number of mostly female passengers were recently denied entry into the country.

The passengers who were sent back to Vietnam after arriving in Singapore had completed all necessary paperwork normally used to enter the city-state, reports Lao Dong.
The press hasn’t mentioned how many people were affected or if such incidents occurred on more than one flight, but Tuoi Tre notes that both passengers and Vietnamese carriers incurred the costs of the unplanned return return trips.
Since passengers weren’t given a reason for their rejection at Singaporean immigration, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to take up the matter.
Vietnamese citizens currently allowed to enter Singapore for 30 days without a visa.
