The art of bonsai is one steeped in tradition and characterized by the miniaturization of trees, some of which fetch prices of up to US$1.2 million.
While bonsai masters can spend a lifetime carefully pruning the plants, some artists are taking things a step farther, creating intricate, mini landscapes to house the trees.
One such piece, “Mother’s Village,” was built by an unidentified bonsai artist and was put on display at the Hai An Bonsai Club in Hai Phong, reports Yeah1.
From detailed roof tiles and a moss-covered well to small pieces of furniture, the artist produced a scaled-down version of a peaceful country house without minimizing its beauty.
