Saigon’s New Electric Busses To Include Service To Pham Ngu Lao

Saigon’s new electric bus service, scheduled to open later this year, will not only serve tourists on Le Loi, Nguyen Hue, Le Duan, Nguyen Du and Thai Van Lung Streets, but also Pham Ngu Lao.

Cost for the bus tour is said to be around US$1 and will offer service to popular tourist attractions such as the Zoo, Ben Thanh Market and Reunification Palace, reports Tuoi Tre.

The planned route of the electric bus tour through Ho Chi Minh City's District 1, starting with the green line.

The busses will operate from 8:30am to 5pm, so a ride home from happy hour boozing doesn’t to be in the cards for tourists.

Saigon’s electric bus plan follows a similar scheme that was launched in Hanoi’s Old Quarter Back in 2010.

Hopefully, the southern hub’s version will fare better than the capital’s which sports a sad 2/5 star ranking on Trip Advisor.
