Tourists in Saigon are now able to enjoy the city’s scenery on four eco-friendly electric buses.
According to Tuoi Tre, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transportation launched the four new routes on January 24: D1, D2, D3 and an intra-Phu My Hung loop.
Specifically, D1 buses start at District 1's 23-9 Park, passing through several downtown streets such as Dong Khoi and Ham Nghi and ending in front of the Saigon Zoo. D2 and D3 vehicles offer trips from District 7’s Sky Garden and Riverside buildings to Crescent Mall.
Pham Minh Suong, vice president of project sponsor Mai Linh, told Tuoi Tre the new buses offer tourists with a unique way to observe the beauty of Saigon in an eco-friendly way.
The service for D1 run from 5am to 10pm and cost VND12,000 per trip, while D2 and D3 buses cost VND10,000 per trip, start from 8am and end at 9:45pm.
