On the night of Wednesday, October 8, be sure to lift your head to the sky to see this year’s final lunar eclipse.
According to Dang Vu Tuan Son, chairman of Vietnam's amateur astronomy club, the eclipse will start at 3:15pm Hanoi time, peak at 5:54pm and become a partial eclipse and end at 8:34pm, reports Thanh Nien.
The eclipse, also called a Blood Moon due to its orange color, occurs when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are aligned with the Earth in the middle.
This celestial phenomenon is not particularly rare, but Wednesday will be the fist time since 2011 one has been viewable in Vietnam.
While a telescope or binoculars will help you view it more clearly, your naked eye should suffice.
Play this song as you stare into the heavens to enhance the experience.
