Back Travel » VietJet Air to Launch Direct Hanoi-Yangon Route in August

Globetrotting Hanoians might be happy to hear that budget carrier VietJet Air is launching a direct Hanoi-Yangon route.

According to VietnamPlus, the route will start accepting passengers on August 31. The airline plans to schedule one round-trip flight per day on the route, with each flight lasting one hour and 25 minutes.

Specifically, the flight from Hanoi leaves at 12:05pm and arrives in Yangon at 1:30pm (local time). The return flight leaves Myanmar at 2:30pm and arrives in Hanoi at 4:55pm.

To celebrate the inauguration of the new flight route, VietJet is offering tickets at VND205,000, according to the news source.

In 2015, VietJet Air started offering direct flights between Saigon and Yangon, forgoing the need for a Bangkok or Singapore layover.
