Explorer Sam Cossman, a documentarian who specializes in capturing extreme forces of nature, recently uploaded this shocking video to Youtube showing his slightly insane expedition into the Marum Crater, located in the Republic of Vanuatu, in the South Pacific Ocean.
According to Kourounis the active volcano’s crater is 1,200 feet deep, or "about as deep as the Empire State Building is tall."
According to the youtube description:
"Sam Cossman and George Kourounis guided by volcanic pioneers Geoff Mackely and Brad Ambrose become among the first explorers to step foot inside the worlds most dangerous and inaccessible volcano, Marum Crater. More people have visited the moon than the firey bottom of this spectacular and deadly place."
