VietJet Passenger Opens Emergency Exit Mistaking It For Restroom

Last Friday, the budget airline and master of bikini-related controversy launched direct flights from Saigon to Yangon, reports Tuoi Tre.

VietJet now officially offers five return flights to and from the Burmese commercial center per week, flying every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The inaugural two-hour-and-15-minute flight took place on the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Myanmar.

In an ongoing bid to make regional travel more accessible to Vietnamese, VietJet is positioning Myanmar as the next stop in its plan for international expansion, the carrier explained to Tuoi Tre, particularly given the rapid growth the Burmese capital has seen in the last few years.

Promotional fares to and from Yangon are currently dirt cheap, coming in at as little as VND1.9 million roundtrip after taxes. You may want to go ahead and book that vacation now.
