Back Travel » [Photos] Saigon Backpacker Brings His Furry Travel Companion to Phu Quoc

Traveling with friends can be difficult. While the old adage suggests that opposites attract, what might be a beautiful, blossoming friendship in your home city can quickly turn into a disaster when you venture outside your comfort zone.

Unless, of course, your travel companion is furry, four-legged and loves you unconditionally. Saigon-based graphic designer Tran Trong Nghia had the right idea when he decided to enlist Hope, a golden retriever, as his sidekick on the road.

According to Tuoi Tre, Nghia and Hope have traveled to Dong Nai, Tay Ninh and Binh Thuan together, with the young professional teaching his pet to sit on a motorbike for the long trips outside of the city.

Earlier this month, the pair took a trip to Phu Quoc together, inspiring Nghia to create the Adventures of Hope Facebook page to chronicle their travels. The page, which has nearly 7,000 Likes, features photos of the duo on their latest journey.
