Though Yangon remains far less developed than the urban centers in other Southeast Asian countries, Myanmar's largest metropolis definitely has some bits and pieces going on. From tasty street food to green community spaces to the roadside typists and Cold War-era typewriters still in use across the city, Yangon may not be on the cutting edge of technology but it sure knows how to flaunt what it's got.
For this reason, outdoor attractions abound in the Burmese city. In the following video, Coconuts TV highlights just five of Yangon's best sights, including a replica of a royal barge, a colonial-era courthouse, a 2,000-year-old stupa and, of course, the sacred, all-gold Shwedagon Pagoda.
