If you've ever spent any time wasting your life away on YouTube, you may have come across the “100 Years of Beauty” series, which documents the fashion and beauty trends of a particular culture throughout the 20th and early 21st centuries.
While there's not a video dedicated to Vietnamese beauty trends (yet), this video posted to Facebook by user Rosy Belle showcases a century of the country's fashion trends, following women's clothing from the 1900s onward.
Hardly more than a minute long, the quick clip travels from the loose skirts and head coverings of rural Vietnam at the turn of the century to the incredibly strong hat game of the 1950s, past the western-influenced hairstyles and brightly patterned áo dài of later decades and up to present-day dress.
