Leonardo da Vinci is often recognized as the most beloved artist in the world. Numerous television shows and several feature films have showcased this extraordinary genius. Paradoxically, we are often more interested in our life than in our artistic practice. Vinci's incomparable paintings and drawings will be central to the subject of "Leonardo: The Works". The EXHIBITION ON SCREEN series presents for the first time, in Ultra HD quality, each painting approached on the big screen: The Mona Lisa, The Last Supper, The Lady with an Ermine, Ginevra de 'Benci, Madonna Litta, The Virgin of the Rocks and more than a dozen others are thus presented and contextualized.
This film takes a new look at the life of Leonardo da Vinci - his inventiveness, his talents as a sculptor, his military foresight and his ability to navigate the tortuous politics of the time - through the prism of his art. Released on the 500th anniversary of his death, this is the definitive film about Leonardo: the first to truly tell the whole story.
